Four guys and four gals make up a relay team. Four kids line up at the start and four wait at the exchange point fifty feet away. You'll need a skateboard and a plumber's plunger for each team. This event should be conducted on a relatively level, smooth surface (concrete quad works best). At the whistle, the first person sits on her team's skateboard and, using the plunger, advances herself to the exchange point. Then she gives the plunger to the next person who sits on the skateboard and uses the plunger to return to the starting point. Another exchange takes place. And so forth until all eight kids have had a turn. Be sure to have a spare plunger for each team, because some handles may break.
